The Andes mountain range is located in the provinces of Imbabura, Pichincha, Cotopaxi, Chimborazo, Bolívar, Azuay, and El Oro. It ranges in altitude from over 4000m (start) to a maximum of 5000m (peak) and a minimum of 500m (end).
