Pacarina engraving workshop opens its doors to all those interested in enjoying a creative experience with graphic arts through monotype engraving (a technique that consists of transferring an image painted on a rigid matrix to cardboard or paper when the ink is still wet).
Using this technique, you can create visual effects that cannot be achieved otherwise with different approaches. From the workshop, we will propose various topics, however we are open to suggestions from participants. We will learn about color theory, drawing, application of light and shadow.

The Pacarina art engraving workshop in Cumbayá is hosted by artists María Salazar, Eulalia Nieto, Clara Hidalgo, and Elena Grijalva. It is a professional workshop of artistic engraving and extended to other forms of artistic production, assembled in a space suitable for learning, practicing and sharing the art of engraving. The main objective is to promote and disseminate graphic arts within the community and establish a network between Ecuadorian artists and artists from other countries to create projects together
