Trek to the Heart of the LLanganati
To the heart of the LLanganati is a 37.5km journey through the humid Andean Tundra, which aims to reach the highest point of the renowned Llanganates mountain range: the LLanganati, Cerro Hermoso or Yurac LLanganati (4571m). This incredible mountain of solid rock is the outcrop of the South American tectonic plate. Our trip to this high range sets the goal of traveling efficiently and lightly with dehydrated food, specific maps for this area and a bit of mentorship advice to prepare effectively for the trip. There are no maintained trails which adds spice to this adventure. The flora, fauna and the very interesting history decorated by tales of Inca gold, surrounds this incredible place with mysticism. Following the summit, this expedition continues to cross through an incredible cloud forest of giant alders and the course of the Rio Muyo, back to civilization.
